ThreadLines 2008 award ceremony

After over a year of work by Uncommon Threads and the ThreadLines committee, it was exciting to be at the award ceremony and opening reception for the exhibition. Emmie Seaman introduced the Juror Jason Pollen, who was there to award prizes and make some comments about his selections.

Deidre Adams won Best of Show.

Susanne Gregg was awarded Juror’s Choice.

Brian Dykhuizen was awarded First Place.
Second Place  - Betty Busby
Third Place  - Diane Savona
Honorable Mentions: Pat Autenrieth, Carol Bormann, and Sue Spurlock

Uncommon Threads members who were part of the exhibition include Christine Marcum, Carol Bormann, and Artleta Johnson. For a list of the rest of the artists with links to websites, check out the ThreadLines website.

Susan Leslie Lumsden also has a solo show at the beautiful Gillioz Theatre that opened the same night just down the street from the MSU Art & Design Gallery that will be on display for the entire month of September.
